On morning 2, Sharon turned the loaves into French toast which got rave reviews. I insisted the muses and I decline as we'd already had German chocolate cake and a banana chocolate chip muffin. Yum!
You had me at fortitude-ing. Have you ever seen "A wish for Wings that Work?" It's an animated Christmas show based on the Bloom County comic strip, with characters Bill the Cat and Opus the penguin, among others. I don't know that they used the made-up word fortitude-ing, but I can picture it. There- that took my mind off that delicious-looking food!

Ooooh, so we're stooping to food porn photos now? ๐ Fresh bread is my weakness. The scent! The heat! The flavor! And (most of them) just as bad for my blood sugar as a piece of cake, what with the simple carbs and all.
Not completely surprisingly, โUnbearable Lightness of Beingโ comes to mind once more. This day had its share of doing, too, but the week end gathering continues to intrigue me with each new detail! Did someone bring a wood fired pizza oven? Full tums and conviviality for all! ๐
I am 100% positive that I would have eaten some anyway! LOL

The muses want to move in with you!
French Toast is my breakfast favorite! And maple syrup...
Nobody told you there would be days like this, but I have no doubt you rolled with the waves and found joy in the journey.
The images you shared showed much beauty. Beauty in nature. Beauty in food. Beauty in childlike wonder and play. Beauty in a smile.
Isn't that a great picture of Sharon?!
I did roll... and even shared a good conversation with my dental hygienist... despite tools of terror in my mouth! ๐
Challah bread. YES!

Both! An udder failure, milk-dud.
Sharon also made a sandwich loaf... crusty on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. ๐
Restraint of tongue and not pen??๐
Oh what pictures, oh what food, oh what friendship, oh what love... Oh!
Oh, what a weekend!
It was really cool ๐ to meet the girls in person, err ,uhm, I mean, to meet Typist in person! ๐
Yeah, thatโs the ticket!
And yes, Sharon is beyond amazing at 2 things for sure! Food AND Friendship! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ

A pizza to die for! And fresh-baked challah bread. Oh my!
Yes Gary! Almost like lions and tigers... ๐
Looks scrumptious!

Like a dramatic gazelle, haha. And 'from a bag. A BAG!'
Fun post, Gail.
And that food looked so delicious...
