Thank you Jack! I just read a meditation and wrote down this question:
Do you need a gold star?
And my answer is, "No. I do not NEED a gold star, but that doesn't mean that I won't take them (and feel good) when they arrive." The real trick is 'keeping on' where there aren't any gold stars?
Thank you Kathy! Being with Manu reminded me of how incredibly grateful I am for Akimbo, Seth Godin, and the TCW experience. Happy holidays to you, too!
“Thank you for being my friend,” reader hummed. Not tied to The Golden Girls. Well, maybe a wee bit. Rather, Andrew Gold who wrote and recorded the song.
I take joy from you having, and sharing, this opportunity. This makes me wonder about you having a “This Is Your Life” video to note, acknowledge, and honor moments like these! (Betty White appeared on that show!) Would you be reluctant? Energized? Self conscious? Ebullient? Someone once said, “There are no dress rehearsals for life.”
My wife has worn many career hats in her life and is a natural paintist/drawist/writist, with a degree in journalism. Some years ago, partly in response to relatives who developed dementia, she created a book, “Before I Forget.” Focused on mostly her immediate family and some relatives. She had multiple copies bound and gave them as Christmas presents. A nice blend of photos she’d taken and written memories. Perhaps “This Is Our Life?”
Somehow I think you’d like doing such a video?! Or a book like Beth’s? Not restricted to just family by any means. Happy today!
Hmmm... a This Is Your Life video... sounds intriguing! Reading the letter of gratitude I wrote to Manu over on BFN filled me with warmth. It brought back memories of how many friends stepped up and contributed to Flourishing Fictions. 💚
The “apperceptive mass” of your emotional being would contain these very kinds of recollections. Long past painful experiences contribute/belong as well, but resolution of same would wash away the hurt. IMHO Leaving behind just a road sign in your life’s journey.
Well... we'll see what opportunities the Universe serves up! For now my focus is on
3mm,
Mincing the Marauder (?) (I see a cartoon image of a woman with a scissors. The scissors has LOVE written on it and it's dicing a piece of paper with a big C on it),
Button: “Ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers?” 😁
My second thought on seeing the photo was, “Hey, I know that guy!” How cool you two got to meet IRL!
My first thought was, “DAMN she’s looking good!” Warm feeling on a cold day. 💚

Is your button business a financial success? 😬 Also right on all accounts...
I don’t sell buttons, Gary, I leach off catalogs. Less work! 😁
Great to see you both together IRL! Happy Holidays to all.

Focus on what's in my sphere of influence!
“Beneath the Peel?” You’re driving me bananas... 😁
