“Glahhhhh-dis!” Thalia takes in the scene, “— is a sheeeeee-ro! How’d she doooooo that?” “Like others before —” Nia recalls a favorite quote. “Courage, strength, persistence, and conviction.” “Don’t forget knitting needles.” Calliope drums her fingers on her chin. “Where do you think the creatures… get tea and lemon cakes?”
Then again Gail could produce little lemon cakes in short order and brew tea as they bake. Still it would not be the same without the eldritch creatures!
Gladys appears to have lept far beyond knit-one, purl-2! And you, yes you, with Hallowe'en right around the corner have eldritch creatures staring us in the face! (Of course I searched...) Based on the Cambridge Dictionary's definition, I have some new ideas for Hallowe'en!
I must confess that I'm with Cal on the "little lemon cake" question. Of course the black hole-looking center of her creation suggests anything is possible, depending on how much terror we can withstand. I'll hazard a guess that Gladys had all four attributes in equal measure: courage, strength, persistence, and conviction! Leaned against a wall of someone's home (Gladys') her creation seems immense. An eldritch creature in and of itself. I can only hope that young, unsuspecting children aren't required to walk by in dim light!
This Loveletter has a "to be continued" feel to it.
A note from Loveletterist:
Happy Friday! Honor your gifts.
“Where do you think the creatures… get tea and lemon cakes?”
Shop on the corner, of course.
Where ELSE would ANYONE get tea and lemon cakes? 🤨
Last night we had Tres Leches cake for dessert at a restaurant. Hoping creatures bring me some more of that! 😜
Yummm.

When I looked up eldrich creatures I gravitated to this part of the definition: weird in a supernatural way. 😊
