Tal hums along with the Good Lovelies as she searches for a long-untouched mesh bag of tub toys. “No time to get down —” Nia harmonizes her voice. “Cuz we’re moving’ uuuuhp!” Thalia sticks another crab to the refrigerator door and twirls. Cal swallows and checks to make sure their laces are tied.
At first my silly brain was certain those were fabulously decorated cookies! Then I saw the pail... Tubby Toys? Then I think I read of magnetic attraction to your refrigerator?! I’m having sensations from the classic: “Elephant and Telephong.”
I got a kick out of your interplay with the Good Lovelies! Song is in the air and feet are on the floor. Somewhat, I suppose, since twirling and walking have different amounts of floor contact. 😊
A second look at the tub toy bucket offered a glimpse of a snail? Were these the kid’s? I’m pretty sure they weren’t Greg’s...
MLK, Jr.’s comment about “take the first step” seems in harmony with “a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.”
Loveletterist, today’s post is a burst of sight, sound, and imagination! Brava!
The crabs are tub toys with suction cups on the flip side. Another remnant that I’ve hung onto like a sentimental hoarder. 🤔
In my Listening Circle this morning we took turns sharing about the layers in our lives that have led us to where we are today. At my advanced age(😱) I can see how all the wide and varied experiences I’ve had give me the ability to write as I do. Grateful!
I'm glad I saw this, Gail and Gary! As I recall, around the time Gail was diagnosed with cancer, she shared a video of Larry the Lobster, whose owner bought him at the grocery store and filmed Larry recovering the use of his claws. Larry had millions of followers (a fact I lamented as a struggling emerging author). I decided to do something to make Gail smile. I had to "swim" through a dozen files to find this video. (YouTube loses my videos, I discovered, but I had saved it on Vimeo. Hopefully this link will work.) https://vimeo.com/748013969?share=copy Enjoy the laugh!
I’m with Gary — I saw them as cookies first.
So the question becomes… Is my level of mystery and intrigue what’s going to set me apart from AI? 😁
Can't hurt! 😁
No doubt in my mind. 😆
I could almost taste them!

I AM magnetically attracted to my refrigerator! 😂

Indeed!
Uh oh. Don't get me started with shellfish again. LOL.
You were such a lovely 🦞!
I’m afraid to ask😳
Ask! I have no idea why you are afraid. 🤔
Oh! Do you remember when Karen dressed up as a lobster? In response to a drawing and story here on 3mm?
I don’t recall, but I was afraid that a tale of shellfish allergies might unfold! Is Karen and her costume somewhere in 3MM’s archives? 😊
Yes… but I’d be hard pressed to find. IIRC , it is on YouTube — a link that Karen allowed me to share with 3mm readers.
Karen… If you see this, and still have the video, will you share again?

Ahhh!!!
Thanks for sharing again Karen! Yes! The link works.
Inspiring and fun!
