Urania ran her palms across her cheeks. “Really Thalia? Cow are you?”
Thalia’s belly shook like a bowl full of jelly.
“Ummm… Bowl full of jelly? Does that work?” Cal scratched her neck. “In this century, jelly comes in jars… not bowls? And… There are still a couple-a months ‘til Christmas.”
“Seventy-seven days until Christmas! Ho-ho-ho! Santas are mingling with pumpkins and witches at the garden center.” Thalia winked and cut herself a square of German apple cake. She thought of Mrs. Claus… Eat Papa! Eat! Whoever heard of a skinny Santa?
Words from Typist:
Sometimes… I have no idea where the muses come up with this stuff! 😂
May you find joy on this October day… whether you’re hiking, watching football, or Christmas shopping.
Presence is not some exotic state that we need to search for or manufacture. In the simplest terms, it is the felt sense of wakefulness, openness, and tenderness that arises when we are fully here and now with our experience.

Today I'm standing in front of the PX on Fort Leonard Wood, MO, asking people for donations for Special Olympics and children with developmental disabilities. I'm grateful for life!

After reading Karen's comment, I was going to post a dumb pun, but apparently I'm out. ☹️
Time to go catalog diving... 😈
