A note from LoveLetterist:

My eraser gets a workout.

Hattie Hippo challenges me.

She still needs detailing and clean up, but now I believe...

I can.

And so you act on your believing. There are stores for more erasures. No stores I know of for more “yous.” (And it seems you drew the “you B you card” today.) Hattie is taking shape wonderfully. Artfully! Hurray!

I’m really quite tickled with almost all of the images so far.

As always… there are a few favorites. I’ve yet to pair many of them with multi-media objects. The starfish will be surrounded by popcorn. I’m waiting to do that until I’m ready to photograph. I suspect the popcorn will leave marks on the paper?

Starfish + Popcorn = Pop Star? I’m with you. Popped kernels and whatever oil is used would leave greasy imprints.

I have only inklings of word/image pairings at this point.

Alliteration will likely have a staring role. 😁

And the words will be few…

As a practitioner of “paintology” and Click2Comic the lower word count makes sense. “Not the same woman, not the same river.” Paddle Board not required…

I was recently thinking about how I die at least once per day!

This switch to handwritten love letters is… challenging. It slows me down. I’m making mistakes with the colors and script styles for the muses. That said… I want yo keep going with it.

Today’s book read was the chapter about my radiation tattoos. It gave me a chance to reflect on commitment and growth. What I commit to and why.

Thank you Julie! 🤗

I wouldn't know your eraser had a workout only that you are an example of becoming by believing and that is the magic that life can give us. Love the quote!!

Becoming by believing and taking action. 😁

Thank you Elaine!

Based on Gilbert K. Chesterton’s remark, the occupants of the swing are in Heaven. But I really hope this doesn’t symbolize a Great Spirit exit! Henny has so much more to learn on matters of this Earth. 😊

When Hattie’s outfit receives its finishing touches, might I suggest a celebratory dance to an early song by Hüsker Dü. Formed in St. Paul-just around the corner-in 1983 they have that defining Punk Rock sound… Slam Dancing was a dance trend on the Punk Rock scene. Moon walking (Michael Jackson) was big in 1983 also but that could be a little too light on the toes for Hattie. Tattoos are a nice touch for the Slam Dancers! 🤭

PS: The song by Rayelle was a perfect choice for the morning after last night’s clock tomfoolery. 🙏🏽

Henny enjoyed a marvelous 3.6 mile walk with the whole fam yesterday at the hilly Nordic trails. She surely was in heaven.

Truly a gift!

I love that on Sat and Sun mornings I can let Hen be off leash for most of the neighborhood walk. There’s little traffic. She is growing into such a trustworthy girl.
