A note from LoveLetterist:

Hmmmm...

What if instead of trying on the voices of Cal, Tal, or Nia...

You become the fourth muse?

What if instead of trying to take on the voice of one of my characters...

You create your own?

What are the possibilities for connection if you reveal yourself -- who you are and what you want -- as part of 3mm?

I invite you to give it a go!

“She” is a lover of the rain - the scent of petrichor envelopes her nostrils and everything becomes anew.

I looked up petrichor to make sure I understood the word correctly.

This reminds me of a quote from EB White, who said something like… I never talk down to children. I throw them tough concepts and vocabulary, and they backhand them over the net.

What happens when we become curious enough to explore?

I’m prone to some odd ways of exploring. Yesterday I remembered my practice, learned from a First People’s individual, to eat a small, tender leaf of Poison Ivy. I’ve yet to have an adverse reaction. And I no longer break out from exposures to the plant or its vines. The relatively small dosage resembles homeopathy. I tend to believe part of this process involves having an expectation of a positive outcome. (Sitting in an MD’s office and noting 8 diplomas on the wall behind the doc’s desk) My identification with Great Spirit provides a pathway for my feeling connected with similar believers. “All shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be well.” Julian of Norwich.

I've had similar thoughts about life challenges -- how we grow stronger with each that we overcome. That certainly was my experience with "c".

I’ve learned to be very cautious with my Poison Ivy experiences! Long ago a friend eagerly listened to my account, and totally missed the “first, tender leaves of Spring.” Being late August, a few days later my friend explored her back yard (carpeted with Poison Ivy) and selected quite a few. Yes, a trip to the ER ensued. By ambulance. IV’s of anti-histaminic medicine. I felt well beyond awful. 😔

Well… I would have felt awful too… and yet, who is responsible for her listening and doing?

Learned this word a few years back. I belong to a bunch of “word” of the day emails and also on Instagram. When PBR was on CH a bunch of us started to find new words to communicate. This was a year or so into Covid. It helped us all. Bobby was part of that group. And our friend D started us all of with the word Mudita. Look that up! It’s what I feel for all of my friends all of the time.
