casting lines

“I DID NOT LIKE IT SAM I AM!” Thalia nicked a line from Dr. Seuss.

“Tasted — fishy.” Nia wrinkled her nose, then raised her brows. “Fired the imagination.”

“We’ve eaten deep fried calamari before… but it’s been a while.” Calliope scrubbed at unwanted lines with their new pencil-tip-eraser. “Sometimes it’s good… to try again? You know… to see if our tastebuds have shifted?”

New and different opens doors of inspiration.

“Casting lines, eh?” To catch unsuspecting community members whose thoughts may be more focused on today’s Super Bowl.

I have this gnawing feeling there’s some subterfuge employed in creator’s drawing today. A framed fish flicking fins? Then talk of calamari?? A door with ponderable panel perspective and a mysterious leg? Straight out of the Twilight Zone! Pencil tip erasers? And we just see the pencil point.

Nefarious I say! Inscrutable...

Like a visual chapter of a new book. I can’t wait for the next!

Now please tell me how completely I missed the whole point! Er, eraser. 🙃

Spangler... It was a mind trick! She said pencil ✏️ tip eraser but your mind thought “eraser tip” or probably more likely “eraser top.”

In all fairness a pencil tip and a pencil point ARE subtly different. AND a pencil tip and a pencil top ✏️🔝 are only one letter apart...

Here is a helpful link to solve the eraser mystery...
