Darn for this predicament. You know I know how fickle tummies can be. At least now you get to use all kinds of puns like I hope this, too, shall pass.

A certain family member of mine might think, "Impatience, demanding, and persistence.". It has worked well for them until they bump heads with me. ;)

Hmmm...

There is this paradox I've found between pushing and patience. Don't push enough and you are easily forgotten/ignored? Push too much and you are an annoyance? Sometimes it's hard to see the line? At least that's my experience... especially when I'm unclear on the boundaries.

T-shirt: “MY TEENAGERS TREAT ME LIKE A GOD. (They act like I don’t exist until they want something.)” 😁

Not a problem for you, Gail, I'm sure!

You seem to have a mixture of tortoises and hares defining your forward progress. Would incantations (witches variety) or meditations realign their thinking on the business of patience?

Shakespeare also wrote, “Take but degree away, and hark! What discord follows!” The fine tuning of patience, + or - a degree? Some days I believe a figure like “The pied piper of Hamlin” is required to start my engines! 🙂

“May engines hum and patience come

To launch your days always.

Green pills be needed? Patience heeded

May strength return in days.”

Note: not Shakespeare...

I think the mix is wonderful!

Isn't it lovely to hold different opinions in one container?

I read in a few places this morning that... "conflicting imperatives, paradoxes, and no-win situations might drive us mad, but they also spawn creativity, and even art." 😉 (Copied from a screenshot I'd taken from AEON magazine long ago.)

I appreciate your poetic flair!

Hoping the GI tract will get used to the iron infusion.

Is the “greenie” the full amount your body needs, ignoring amounts provided from your diet? I know you mentioned having to eat wheelbarrows full of spinach each day to provide enough iron! I suppose blood tests will tell you when enough is enough. Notwithstanding protesting intestines... 😬

They told me to take the pills until my next visit/blood work on 2/16. I looked at my chart... and my number was a fair bit low of normal range. Keeping food in my stomach helps a lot and might get my weight back up? With c I gained a little weight. Covid took all of that off... plus about 5 more pounds. Ah... be careful what you wish for?

So blessed to have Nurse Navigator Gretchen! if I continue to feel yucky, she's only a message away. 🎉
