“Oh yes — You are taking it.” Nia filled a glass of water and pulled a cutie from the crisper drawer. “Vitamin C helps with absorption.”
“We’ll try it for a few days and see how it goes?” Calliope placed a hand on Thalia’s knee. “And… We’ll eat our spinach, red meat, and pumpkin seeds like good muses. Let’s get that iron count back up where it belongs. We’ll feel better when we do.”

Pre-infusion blood work revealed my hemoglobin is low.
Several more vials showed that once again, my blood is not meaty.
I looked up iron rich foods.
Even if I eat the entire list every day, I won’t reach the 65 mg that’s power packed in the tiny green pill.
I have FAITH in my doctors and nurses.
I’ll start taking the pills while adding more iron-rich foods to my diet.
