I LOVE your LOVE painting! It’s perfect! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I also love that we can find the extraordinary in the ordinary. That’s why on walks I take pictures of things. A patch of grass that is blowing in the wind just right, a flower bud that gives hope to the future, even a split rail fence that may be broken gives away to a story. An old barn that is has given way to the elements makes me pause on what it once was. The architecture of old farm houses makes my mind eye find a story of family, farmers, chores, laughter, tragedy and rebirth. There is so much to see if you just open eyes. I am so grateful that you are sharing your journey and muses with us. Xoxo

I once read a sentiment about photographers "creating" what they see... by how they choose to frame a shot. I think that is fascinating. I often take close-ups... or zero in on little fractions... like a dogs paw or a single flower. I do love shots of old barns!

Thanks for being here!

Interests similar to mine. I range from minutiae (tiny insects; a detail in the bark of a tree) to old, abandoned mansions as well as farm houses and barns. A sad, drooping barn adjacent to a seemingly intact windmill. Gail’s talent for “freeze frame” capture of good times and joy is an element I’ve not explored.

Nature... I immediately associate your photographs with nature... minutiae and big picture.

Thanks Gail, loving it all here. My surprise beauty happened this afternoon as I walked to the shop - I glanced up and saw a ‘day-moon’ high in the blue sky. x

I just got up and went outside to see if I could see the "day moon", too. No luck, too many puffy cumulus. The beauty I see in our sky today is peeks of blue! xo

BUTTON: “Our problems are mostly behind us. What we have to do now is fight the solutions.” 😁

Throwing that in after spending two hours working on a technical glitch on the AV gear at church yesterday... then walking in this morning, turning on the equipment, pressing two buttons (that I had not touched yesterday) and everything worked. 😐 Spent more time waiting for everything to start up and shut down than I did troubleshooting.

Not sure that counts as a “gem.” More like, the Universe likes to play with my head like a kitten with a puffy ball. Thanks, Universe. 😝

Hahahaha! I had a call this week that took a walk around an Einstein quote that I'll paraphrase: Intellect solves problems, genius prevents them. 😊

AV working at the press of two buttons sounds beautiful to me! Love your kitten metaphor!

Whirrr! Your post set my thoughts aspinning. Until Nia explained your use of yoga poses for the letters, I didn’t make that connection. To me that illustrates “apperceptive mass.” The whole of a person’s previous experience that is used to perceive today. You, the active yogi, found that a natural choice.

As a typist and writer, perhaps the greater space between “L” and the other letters serves a visual purpose for that composition?🤔 I, being neither, don’t know that answer.

Your account of yesterday’s second conversation brought “The Celestine Prophecy” to mind. In part that book asked the question if “coincidences” are merely that and nothing more cosmic or spiritual. It went on to propose something like reaching critical mass (my wording) was at work and, once reached, a great shift in being and conscienceless would occur.

Last, what do you get when you remove the “dip” from serendipity? Serenity. 🤷🏽

Ooooh! Wordplay... serenity. I often say the serenity prayer to myself. I once met a grocery checker who had it tattooed on her forearm!

This has my full attention!

What do you get when you remove the “G” from Glove? OK, it’s not quite the same but you still get Paintist’s 🎨 word for today!

Both Serenity and Love have been very impactful in my life.

I LOVE today’s post and comments! 😎
