Now see what you made me do! I listened to Daphne Willis! She has some energy up her sleeve.
Cat Stevens released “Oh Very Young” in 1974, echoing Coolio’s thoughts on the brevity of human life. Carlos Castaneda often quoted the Brujo that had become his spiritual advisor. One of his phrases stands out on this topic: “Let Death be your advisor.” Some have a strong belief that there will be an afterlife. While I have no evidence of that, I’m certain I am living today.
Can the living of our now lives create an afterlife? For generations to come? For our starship called Earth? That values each life and holds each other in loving kindness? I have that opportunity.
I offer my gratitude to this community that gently nudges me back toward the path when I’ve wandered away from “the road less traveled.” 🙏🏽
Yes! I believe how we show-up lives on in those who outlive us. Ripples!
I did read a passage the other day that talked about immortality through the written word. 🤷♀️ And well… almost any kind of creativity leaves a trail.
Joni Mitchell shared an observation as a singer-songwriter: you compose the song, you record it, and in concerts fans request their favorites. She added, “No one ever said to Van Gogh, ‘Paint a Starry Night again!’ “
Thank you Pennie! I like to try all sorts of different things. Reminds of when I started writing on Medium and wrote using different styles. On of the funnies from early days was a news bulletin about a fly in my bowl of ice cream. I’m gonna go see if I can find it. 😂
Love the link! “Work for It”
I like the idea of bathing in bliss!
For half a second I thought, “Ah! She got the compass!”
But no, just a pencil & its shadow...
I traced the big circle with a plate and the moon with a oui yogurt jar. No compass... yet. :)

Hmmm... I never really thought from a music creative's perspective about playing the same songs over and over again. 🤔
To me it seems the repetition makes the creating more like work. 🤷🏽
Remember the muse’s “thought triangle” cartoon experiment last summer? 😂
Oops! I don’t.
Me too! That’s why 3mm is my dream project because I can show up however I am on any given day. 😁
Your artwork is really getting good.
