The muses have such wisdom to share. Two messages that I needed today: 1. If I wait until I feel ready, I’ll never begin. 2. Keep calm and post on even if I have missed days. Thank you muses!
What I find they are really great at helping Typist to uncover is her internal value clashes... and when they talk it out, we find our possibilities in moving forward.
Thank you Sana for your comment! Writing the sentence above has helped me to see another facet to the "muse-relationship" -- instead of staying stuck in the muck, we're able to keep rolling along. ❤️💜💚
“Hey, Tal!” (forgive my cheeky use of your inter-Muse appellation). “… that anybody noticed! Like not noticing the taste difference while enjoying a lemon drop? Or Red Hots? Or sauerkraut and pork roast?”
“And Nia?” (See mea culpa op cit.) “Do you worry that missing a day constitutes a breach of trust with readers and subscribers alike? Not this one.”
“Cal, of the ouchy derrière,” (ditto) “A little bird told me that scribe-painter-typist had a full day yesterday. So still getting to yoga class doesn’t fall too short of a miracle. Did someone swipe your yoga mat?”
I noticed... And I found out myself that it's challenging to keep writing every day when you have other things going on too. Great work, I love your writing.
Thank you Pennie! I am so grateful that you found -- and reached out to me -- over on LinkedIn.
I find daily posting is a challenge when I'm experiencing an internal conflict and/or mood that I don't want to pass on to my readers -- it's not that I'm unwilling to share -- it's simply that I want my writing to be a source of inspiration. Sometimes I just need time to sort out my frame of mind. :)
I can understand that. Trying to be in a constant positive frame of mind when you do have challenges can be a struggle. I spent many many years struggling with depression, and putting on that outer smile was easy. But that inner feeling made it hard.
Please feel free to email me personally if you would like to talk. I will give you my phone number.

Today is all we have. Ever. Enjoy!
Typist said, "If ever it becomes impossible to carry on with my duties... I know who I am sending the trio to!" ❤️💜💚
I figured you had stuff going on. Because: life. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There's a quote my friend Margaret once shared with me from EB White... "Must decline for secret reasons." Even the muses have secrets! hahaha!

Thanks Penni! Your offer is very much appreciated. ♥️
The “girls” have given me an entirely different perspective for embracing my favorite quote:
“When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen.” (Unless it’s one of your muses). -Harley Davidson
Our muses afford us access to the voice beyond the voice, the space beyond the space, the breath beyond the breath…
“Hear your muses, find your life.”
“Hold The Vision, Trust The Process.”
Ha! The muses… helping Typist to find and remember her true self underneath all of the coats she tried on!
Thalia has been tucked away for so long!
