Tal slips out of truck first — plaid flannel button-down second. “Wahwwwwww! That was fuuuuuhn!”
“Yes.” The ends of Nia’s lips rise and her eye crinkles deepen. “For the fourleg — and for us.”
Calliope replays the scene in her mind’s eye. After a leash-free circuit of a freshly hayed field by the river, Henny hooks up with a red and a chocolate. Together they race, chase, and splash. The chemistry betwixt the three is the stuff movies are made of. “Talking with the pup’s twolegs was a nice bonus… our shared love of woofs… kindled a warm conversation.”
What draws people to be friends is that they see the same truth.
They share it.
~C. S. Lewis
This post has me thinking about kind conversations...
Common themes? Better questions? Active listening? Seeking first to understand, and then be understood? Patience? Curiosity? Reserved Judgment?
“Be curious, not judgmental.” ~Walt Whitman

Maybe a blend of all the above? Goulash?
Conversation Soup?
Hmmm? 🤔
I happen to know a Communication Stylist, So maybe I'll check in with her... 😉
Great Post Typist!
Sounds like you, the girls, and the four-leg had a great time! 🐾🗣️🐾🗣️🐾🗣️
The joy! The enthusiasm is contagious. Seeing dogs connect like that is truly delightful! I think of such times as dogs reverting to their ancient ways. Hunting as a pack for instance.
The observation by C. S. Lewis seems also to apply to the “connectication”amongst readers of your love letters.
Thanks for today’s bright, cheery share. Henny image and all. Woof!
