Thalia stands in front of her reflection. The handle of a teaspoon rests between her lips. The bowl of the spoon moves up and down.
“Hmmm… I see.” Nia squints and watches muscles in action. “Focus a little more on the right side? For balance sake?”
The sound of metal meeting porcelain reverberates. “This — is — so — fuhhhhhn!”
“I do… see some changes.” Calliope touches chiseled cheeks. “If nothing else… our skin is brighter… and we feel… empowered.”
The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.

A note from Loveletterist:
Video making gave us a nudge. 😂
Seeing oneself up close on camera can be -- shocking!
The muses and I have been experimenting with face yoga poses and massage for about two weeks. We toss in exercises while driving and/or walking.
Every night we take 15-30 minutes to enjoy one of the many video tutorials available on YouTube.
The self-care feels luxurious.
And... we guide our destiny, becoming our own magic potion!
It's an all around win.
We are 55 and do not expect to lose our well-earned lines, but some pink in our features is apt reward.
I grew up being told, “Don’t play with your food.” But never, “Don’t play with your utensils!” The colors on the spoons is mysterious. Cosmic? Reminiscent of days long ago coloring Easter eggs?
The idea of an exercise to brighten faces without cosmetics is appealing. The Muses seem completely on board!
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong sang “Oh no you can’t take that away from me.” A message for the ages.
Happy glowing faces!
