“It’s a good thing we said… What did we say?” asked Calliope.
“I said… We’re going to do this nice and s-l-o-w.” Nia spelled out slow for dramatic appeal.
Thalia curled her fingers and connected her thumbs into a heart shape. “And I think you also said something about leading with love… That’s me! I’m the lead.”
Calliope and Urania’s eyes met and sparkled. Sure… Thalia can be the lead. She’s a natural front woman.
“Typist is practicing our look… What do you think?” Cal asked.
“I think there is a slight improvement over last week… We’re adopting more refined physical attributes to go with our personalities… Visuals catch eyes.” Urania’s head bobbed in appreciation of her last three words. She liked the way stating the obvious sounded. “This week we will study and practice faces. We want to look a tad more sophisticated — a little less like Charlie Brown and the gang.”
“I love Charlie, Snoopy, Woodstock, Sally, Linus, Lucy, Pig Pen… the wha-wha-whaaaa-wa teacher’s voice,” Thalia sighed. “Charles Schulz is such an inspiration.”
“What if YOU believe… that the one true meaning for your life is to find your gifts and to share them with the world?” Cal asked. “Will that help you move past fear and resistance?”
“It seems to be working for Typist.”
“And how does one know if they are working with their gift?” Cal pressed.
“Oh! They will feel a quickening of their energy… a positive pulse.” Thalia twirled. “Remember in the film Pretty Woman when Edward decided to stop acquiring companies to tear them apart?”
“He recalled how as a child he enjoyed building with his erector set? It was a pivotal point in the film… and the character’s life when he decided to create, rather than destroy.”
Typist here with an update!
The muses have been busy engaging with friends new and old on LinkedIn and Instagram. #3musesmerge
I continue to practice the arts of drawing and painting. Yesterday I attempted a fawn… Fur is fun!
I am participating in a Quest workshop with Bobby Kountz. He is facilitating from a perspective of learning and growth… actively seeking to make his program of service by engaging with his audience — soliciting their feelings around each session. The most amazing thing has happened… I am speaking freely, instead of from a place of people pleasing. Thank you Bobby for creating a space in which “A rising tide lifts all boats.”
So… Muses? I can see typist is striving to maximize your appeal to a variety of readers. Good; right? And today you shared that looking for the meaning of your lives involves discovering your gifts and sharing them with the world. Got it.
I have a question: if typist works and works to develop your individual looks to match your personalities, if taken too far could that conflict with sharing the meaning of your lives with the world?
Yes, visuals catch eyes, Nia. Yet Charlie Brown’s stick-like Christmas tree spoke volumes. Balance. What are your thoughts on balance? Restraint of tongue and paintbrush? Then again, why would you not like going shopping every week for new clothes and makeup? Tastefully selected, of course. I know typist/artist can help with the balance.
