A note from LoveLetterist:

Yesterday, January 3rd's page from The Daily Stoic came into my awareness:

BE RUTHLESS TO THE THINGS THAT DON'T MATTER

The tricky part of this sentiment is discerning what matters... and what does not.

EVERY MAN MUST DECIDE THIS FOR HIM/HERSELF

For a couple of months, I've been creating memes with images from my photo albums and quotes that I find interesting.

Doing so was fun, creative, and... felt productive.

Taking a Birdseye view, I saw it was like tossing individual grains of sand into the ocean.

Somehow, I've had the good sense to recognize that my creative energy is better channeled into bigger projects... like books and direct connection.

Interesting

that

I

can

be

the

greatest

thief

of

my

own

energy?

“Woo, hoo, witchy woman, see how high she flies. Woo, hoo, witchy woman, she’s got the moon in her eyes.” The Eagles, from a couple of 24 hours ago. The music video you introduced had me ready to invite you and the Muses to go bowling. The gender segregation in that bowling alley advised to the contrary. 🤭

The look on the vampire’s face calls to mind, “I am Count Dracula. I want to give you a sore throat!” Are female vampires a thing? 🤔 I always picture the victim, a woman with a very sore throat, appearing with two neck punctures and a slight trickle of blood on her neck!

The quote by Andrew Carnegie requires a colloquial interpretation. 100% of the time? Seems to allow little time for sleep... He left behind, from proceeds of the steel industry and investments, Carnegie-Mellon University and a number of museums in Pittsburgh, PA. Also Carnegie Hall in NYC. I nibbled at the edges of some Internet information and found this quote:

Carnegie Museum of Art creates experiences that unite people with art, ideas, and one another. 🤔😊

Just remember what happened to Icarus when he flew too close to the sun! Use wings wisely! Same goes for your sidekicks.

I can’t resist wondering what similar blessings AI or Substack or X will leave in their wake?
