Thalia crunched and swallowed a mouthful of chip, tomato, corn, black bean, green pepper, and cilantro. “Holy moly… This is delicious!” Crumbs and juice sprayed onto the table.
Calliope dipped a triangle and nodded her agreement.
Urania questioned their spelling of holy. “Should it be w-h-o-l-l-y moly? And what is moly?”
Calliope punched in an online search. “H-o-l-y moly is correct. An exclamation used to express surprise or astonishment.”
Thalia added, “Moly is a southern European plant — related to onions. And holiness is a condition of the heart… when our internal values and outward actions walk together.”
“Holy moly!” Urania sighed. “Typist forgot to add the red onions.”
“It’s still delicious without them,” said Cal. “And healthy for our insides.”

I was hoping to hear “jalapeño” in the mix. Of course there’s something to be said for enjoying one’s meal. Versus setting one’s mouth alight!
To me there is nothing more satisfying than eating from one’s own garden. So much the better if recently harvested. Remind the Muses how lucky they really are!
