A note from LoveLetterist:

Learning!

Orange ink is hard to read.

Habits are hard to change.

There is meaning in doing your best.

Book 5 images are coming along!

There's a sneezing mouse, a buffalo in boots, a sparkling starfish... and more.

:)

I love the challenge of harmonizing odd bits and bobs.

There's more!

I got to share an INSPIRED conversation with my friend Caroline Biesalski.

Will you give it a listen?

And share?

From the fluff of a milkweed seed pod to the cornstalks still in the field, today’s LoveLetter was tip top! I can imagine a mix of strategizing, tromping the outdoors, and settling on the right size and proportion of the elements of this collection was fun!

Your selection of “orange” resolved in my eye as yellow.” As orange is a mix of red and yellow, and red is often a no show for me, I began to wonder if you had employed disappearing ink? (Another childhood marvel!) Pinching and brightening overcame the difficulty I first experienced.

Is a hula skirted hippo in the works? I think you would create a splendid creature!

“I want a hippopotamus for Christmas

Only a hippopotamus will do…” Gayla Peevey flew from her home state, OK, to NYC at age 10 in 1953 to record the original version. Since then singers like Lee Ann Rymes and Kacey Musgraves have sung it. Can you imagine Taylor Swift singing this? 🤔

Now, for me, it’s back to Tornado Watch mode. Holding down the fort is my immediate mission. I believe inspiration from Mother Teresa is much less hazardous. All the best today, Gail. 😊

I'm not sure what kind of plant the fluff is from. It differs from milkweed in density. I'm of a mind to collect more so that I can have enough to make a lamb! And hippo in a hula skirt is now on the list!

We're blessed with blue skies today.

Be safe!
