A note from LoveLetterist:

When I got my haircut last week, my stylist told me her youngest conquered his two-wheeler.

Yahoooo Will!

The story settled in my mind, took root, and sent up a shoot -- today's letter!

I love to remember my first (feeble) published post for 100 Naked Words.

There have been literally thousands of steps, repetitions, and tiny leaps over the last eight years.

Becoming a master is a tale as old as time.

I'm grateful to have the opportunity to live such a story even if I never "arrive".

I just received a pop-up advertisement.

AI can write and publish MY book in minutes.

Errrr... NO.

It cannot.

4th Muses -- Where are you willing to show up time and time again to become a Master?

Polyhymnia here, Polymnia for short. I once knew a mortal who bought a book about weight lifting. He asked his friend, “How many times do I have to read this book before I can bench press 300#?” We Muses know that our skills require us to do practice, practice, practice to have our skills sharply refined.

These days I show up on Substack to keep my sacred poetry and eloquence finely tuned. And try to never miss 3musesmerge! 👩‍🦱

Your first sentence made my entire day. I've laughed about it no less than 10 times already. 😂

Thank you for being here. Practicing with us.

One of Seth Godin's books is titled The Practice. He wrote it in relation to the Akimbo workshop I participated in -- The Creative's Workshop. One of the biggest challenges we face is how we view ourselves? For so much of my life I told myself I wasn't creative. 🤔 That obviously was a lie!

My Scribe 🖋️ went his WHOLE life saying he couldn’t draw… Garbage! 🗑️ Pure garbage!

Us Muses are pretty creative in finding unique ways to wake people up! I started by getting him to watch a TEDx… Once he had a pencil ✏️ in his hand it was game over! ☺️😎☺️

And now Scribe creates in many different ways! Thanks Serenity for waking him up!

Gail, I can say with a high degree of certainty, that thinking you were not a creative must have been a long time ago! Speaking for myself it feels like yesterday when I emerged (somewhat) from my shell to croak “Hello” on Mind of Curiosity gatherings. This is still today, I tell myself. 👨🏼‍🦳

Terpsi- each day i watch her as she picks up the paintbrush trying to figure out what to paint. Sometimes i get a new dress or she paints me at the sea. But sometimes she holds that paintbrush for such a long and i wonder what she's dreaming of. Whatever she paints i hope it makes her smile.

I recall my early days on Medium. How sometimes it might take me hours to come up with a topic. I wrote one of my funniest pieces "newspaper" style about a fly that was in an un-rinsed bowl that had ice cream in it. 🤭 I should go look for that!

One of the things I learned along the way is that material is everywhere... the challenge is in seeing it. ❤️

That must be the bike that crashed on 21st Street! I see a new front rim and tire needed to get back on the road. The handle bar basket! To fill with Eclipse art? While showing its dings the banana seat bike tuneup doesn’t require starting nowhere. 😁 All the very best to you and your inspiring Muses!

Yup! My green and yellow banana seat bike with a wicker style basket.

I can't remember who worked with me to learn how to ride without training wheels. I suspect my dad, but I'm not sure. I'm going to call him to see if he remembers.

Eclipse art... Here is where I confess I'm not that jazzed about the eclipse. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm so much more interested in other things.
