Typist stomped grass cuttings from her sneakers. “Have we made it ‘round the bend?” Calliope picked a few speedwell blossoms and tossed them onto the lawn, giving the camera something beautiful to focus on. “Maybe?” Thalia shrugged. “She did eat some lunch… and mowed the grass.”
“Show up messy.
Show up imperfect.
But just keep showing up.
I love this quote! It speaks volumes about the idea of grit! For whatever reason, the world will test our resolve.
“When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” ~Harriet Beecher Stowe
Fantastic on driving around the yard! Glad you were able to eat something.
You’ve got this! And more! Xoxo
Operating a motor vehicle under the influence, Typist is really cutting it up now. (Pun absolutely intended.)
Happy birthday Henny 🎂. Gail don't overdo it it out there. Much love.
Sometimes we have to wade through the bad to get to the good. Carry a plastic grocery bag with handles with you when you mow or stroll around the yard. Don't worry about what the neighbors think if they see you needing to use it. Put a couple chairs around the yard so you can sit to get your strength back before returning back to the house. Hopefully this will all be over before too long. Get some smooches from your big fur baby. That always helps.
Happy birthday to Henrietta! 🐕 And yes, driving around the yard is to be celebrated too!! 👌😎
BUTTON: “I do not have ducks, and they are not in a row. I have drunken squirrels, and they’re EVERYWHERE!” 😁
Happy birthday to Henrietta!
Sounds to me like you've rounded the bend, indeed, and maybe that figurative curve is giving you some motion sickness. Be gentle with yourself, Gail. And Happy Belated Birthday to Henny!
