Nia (take 1)
Typist munched on a bowl of oatmeal with rasp- and blueberries. She marveled at mankind’s ingenuity in supplying affordable produce regardless of the season. “Did you notice cauliflower was up to four ninety-nine a head? But those Hass avocados… three for ninety-nine cents… Avo-mazing!”
“I recall when you wouldn’t touch an avocado. Put off by the color and texture.” Urania ran an index finger through last week’s planning sheets.
“Reinvention is a core competency?” Typist shrugged. “What’s the news? How’d we do with holding to our new schedule?”
“Let’s just say — Athens wasn’t built in a day.”
Words from Typist:
It seems that a decision to schedule three to four hours of daily, uninterrupted studio time was a bigger spoonful of oatmeal than the muses and I were ready for.
That said… I’m still jazzed about moving forward with dedicated time and curious to see what comes from articulating and reviewing my
goals, objectives, targets, dreams, aspirations!
Aspire: direct one’s hopes or ambitions toward achieving something
My friend Marijke van Veldhoven shared a cartoon this week, reminding me to chunk-it-up — whatever “it” is.
