A note from LoveLetterist:

Do you know about butterfly kisses?

I'd forgotten all about them.

Until this morning

when a childhood memory surfaced.

(Perhaps because I was with my father, sister, and brother yesterday?)

A butterfly kiss

is when someone brings their face close to yours

and flutters their eyelashes on your cheek.

At least...

that's how I experience them.

Memories can...

fill us with delight.

A fond memory indeed, Gail. Over time our minds lose conscious track of long ago. But as you described re butterfly kisses, an incident much further along our road in life sweeps that memory into the foreground of our thoughts! Where do memories reside? Does science know a way to revive them in a controlled manner? 🤔

I also wonder about the tendency (scientifically studied) to recall “bad” experiences more quickly? Or… strongly?

Yesterday with my family we reminisced about dinners mug mom used to serve. It was fun to hear what people liked… and disliked.

In “Julius Caesar” Shakespeare wrote: The evil that men do lives after them. The good is oft interred with their bones.

Seems to support your observation.

I had a slight itch to go see the film about Napoleon the it was in theaters. I never made it.

I was curious because right around the same time the film came, I used a quote from Napoleon her on 3mm. In my mind's eye (quite uniformed about the man) he is a villain in history. The quote I liked plucked a string of... Gail you're judging without any real knowledge or facts! That is why the film intrigued me. I was hoping it offered the good with the facts.

Oscar Wilde said: It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.

All kinds of kinds!

Wowza! A LoveLetter bookended by first a Clip2Comic piece of art, accompanied by John Batiste’s lovely song, followed with the quote by David Lynch. In between? Living life, eh? I’d like to interject that Rotten Tomatoes on their tomatometer ranks “EraserHead” as Lynch’s #6 movie. 😳 Lynch pairs strange (alien) music with unsettling scenes. Just the same, reviewing the list of his works demonstrates his genius and appeal. Binge watch, Tal, Nia, Cal??

The combined effects of Nature’s design of this butterfly paired with LoveLetterist’s skillful composition and use of C2C seems to have Cal and Henny spellbound! Likely the “knowingness” Lynch described. 🎨👩🏻‍🎨

Lynch’s work is not really our cup of tea. Still, I applaud his awareness and creativity! 🎉

Thank you for your shared observations of today’s curation. Even I don’t full understand how the trio pulls it together like they do. 🤭

Whirling like a cyclone in my mind”

Near Great Spirit. Whirling? An obvious guess.
