Golden Retriever Addie spies the trio and Henny from a distance. The fourleg plants her booty on asphalt and refuses to budge. (She and Henny are cut from similar cloth?)
“Gooooooood mooooor-ning!” Thalia sings from a distance.
As the muses close the distance, Nia admires Addie’s posture and comments to the pooch’s twoleg, “She looks so regal.”
“Why rank-yu.” The twoleg laughs. “I don’t know why she always sounds like Scooby-Doo.”
Calliope scratches Addie’s crown with affection. “And now I’m trying to picture Scooby-Doo as a girl in a tiara…”
People love dogs.
You can never go wrong adding a dog to the story.

"A lesson:
There is constant pressure to optimize and make efficient all that we do.
Overlooked is the value of moments of creativity and genuine connection.
Even in the midst of these hectic days of business to be done, there are opportunities for moments of creativity and connection.
Opportunities to savor the moments we have even to the last."

Thank goodness I found my Tiger Balm ointment! Treatment for the neck injury that resulted from the switch from Scooby-Doo to George Orwell!! Too much caffeine this morning? 🙃 (You may not have guessed that this was an attempt at genuine connection; you would be correct guessing I never read: “How To Win Friends And Influence People.”
I often think of Leonardo Da Vinci’s advice to walk away from our work. “Go to that quaint coffee shop across the street! Order your favorite coffee and a couple of Beignets.” He further advised to go some distance away, seated at the coffee shop window, in order to note any lack of harmony or proportion.
Silliness aside I like how the dog in your picture resembles Scooby-Doo and is sporting a tiara. I smiled at the thought of a creator stopping for a moment of creativity, reflecting the advise of David Marlow. Is that something you employ? Like walking into your studio, perhaps pausing in the doorway, as your eye notes your tools of creation, while your mind assembles an idea, a rough draft of sorts that inspires you? 🤷🏽 or are you more likely to acquire an idea on the Henny walk or during another event?
I’d still be pondering how dark and pointy the lead needed to be! 🤔
Despite my thinking at first that there was a divergence of themes, of course there wasn’t. A creation game well played!
