“Whew!” Thalia hopped around the kitchen island. “What a relief to have a bounce back in our haunches today!”
Urania wrapped her arm around Calliope. “I agree. We’ve learned to let our feelings show up because… well they show up whether we want them to or not.”
“We don’t hide, or get busy, or gobble gluten-laden goodies, or drown our sorrows in drops of wine,” said Cal. “We observe and let the mood pass through like a spring shower.”
“Or season-shifting storm, sometimes there’s lightening and booms from the bass and kick drums, but the piccolo and flute always come back!” Thalia twirled. “Nice rabbit, eh?”
A word from Typist:
Often the grace of time and pause grants perspective. In the big scheme of life’s setbacks, mine is small.
Today I am able to ask… What can I learn from this experience?
Thank you all for engaging in 3mm comments! It brings me so much joy to see thoughtful conversation, humor, and growing perspectives here… the best medicine!
It’s the beauty within us that makes it possible for us to recognize the beauty around us. The question is not what you look at but what you see . ~ Henry David Thoreau
This is probably the least important thing you have going on, Gail, but your drawing and painting skills have improved in a very short time, IMHO. Maybe it's a tangible sign of what you're learning within. Have a Hoppy and Blessed Easter!
What a “Hoppy” bunny! I love that you have SPRING in your step. See how wonderful it is to just be and let the emotions come go and pass? We humans are amazing, and you are one beautiful, amazing person, in and out!
