Thalia clapped her hands with excitement — Substack accepted the GIF she’d made for today’s love letter. The Muse of Wit drooled over the opening sentence of Tuck Everlasting years ago. Babbit’s story asks, Would you want to live forever?
Urania studied the list Val sent over from Maple Avenue Apparel… fourteen orders. “Fantastic! We’ll want to send out thank-you notes!”
Calliope prowled through the annotations, quotes, and references in Typist’s journal for August 1, 2022. “Mhmmm… Serendipity can instruct as much as sorrow,” she said aloud — speaking to nobody in particular.
“Muses?” Typist called.
Tal, Nia, and Cal looked at their scribe.
“Okay… I can feel there is too much excitement in the room to get anything done this morning. Let’s get out with the fourleg and slow our thinking down.”
Words from Typist:
As already explained above, the muses are creating quite a ruckus in my head. 😂
This morning I picked up my copy of The Book of Soul by Mark Nepo. In chapter 4, the author shares:
If we let ourselves experience immersion, whatever we love over time becomes a garden. And if devoted to that garden, what we turn over year after year becomes our teacher. The mystery of deep living is that we become life itself.
I’m grateful for the muses who allow me to show up wearing all of my colors.
I’m grateful for YOU — who reads, comments, and shares in their banter.
I’m grateful for Substack and all of the resources that make publishing 3mm possible.
What might you try if there was no reason to be afraid?
