“We’re going to the movies this afternoon!” Thalia twirled. “We haven’t been to the movies since before… well for a very long time. Can we get popcorn?”
Urania nodded. “Yes. Let’s try to fatten up Typist a little bit before her chemo starts. For as much as she frets about her fat cells, she really doesn’t have too many to lose.”
“What are we seeing?” asked the Muse of Many Questions.
“Denial!” Tal exclaimed.
Urania shook her head. “Death on the Nile. It’s Death on the Nile.”
Tal scrunched up her face. “Cal… When Typist draws you, you look like Peppermint Patty.”
“I’m aware,” Cal sighed. “We’re working to shift that.”
A word from our Typist…
It seems the muses are cultivating a bend toward dark humor. This comes as a surprise to me, but I’m rolling with it. This is their newsletter. 🤷🏻♀️
A split infinitive used to often walk into a bar. 😁
All movie humor has to be dark, right? Otherwise it’s too bright to see the movie?
Dark humor! Always a fan of same.
Enjoy the movie and crunch popcorn quietly.
