A note from LoveLetterist:

A new washing machine is being delivered this afternoon.

For more than a year my family has tolerated the scream of a wonky spin cycle because...

of indecision?

Top or Front Loader?

Size?

Color?

Brand?

Last week at the big box store I closed my eyes and pointed. (kinda)

Yesterday the muses and I sat at studio's table and culled thoughts and ideas for Book 5.

Nia folded a paper into tiny squares and made notes for images and pages while Thalia spilled props onto images and eyed them for appeal.

What has felt like chaos is taking shape.

We need both

to write...

the chapters of our lives.

Doesn't it feel really good to just do it? Makes you wonder what the resistance was in the first place. I had to replace all of the kitchen appliances, and next is the washer/dryer. I have the model number and brand of what I want, I just have to pay down the kitchen first!

I love how you are culling the ideas for a new book! Number 5! That in itself is just wonderful. I took a free class last week with Beth Kempton to narrow down my ideas for a book. At least your book ideas are on a tree, mine were in the sky, under rocks, in the water and I think some were drowning.

Happy Culling!

Indeed, an unenviable yet enviable pairing. Our dishwasher has begun making grating sounds when in use! To sift through what’s out there? 😳 As they get quieter and quieter, I won’t be surprised if high end models don’t offer selections of listening modes.

Enviable? Knowing the difference between chaos and concordance.

I remember coming across refrigerators that were connected to the internet — a screen display on the door! You could connect via your phone and see what was in your refrigerator when you weren’t home?’

That was an easy “no thanks” for me.

Many printers also keep track of ink levels and automatically place orders. I also read that Hewlett Packard has their printers inoperable if owners use off brand ink! Greedy? Nope. There are chips in ink cartridges that are required for a printer-cartridge interface. Some off brands are harboring malware! I’m not sure if that’s intended to hack all the way up to HP’s important mega computers. 🤷🏽

Oh bother!

Makes me want to join Mary Oliver in the fields watching fat rabbits and blowing grasses.

OTOH… I need all this tech to do what I do. 🤷‍♀️

Though probably not a refrigerator that keeps up with the status of your lettuce! 🤭

Correct!

I am desirous of simplicity wherever I can make room for it in my life!

I have an HP that auto sends me paper and ink. Honestly it's worth it.

I certainly understand that convenience, Sharon. My old Canon all-in-one produces gorgeous photo quality prints using archival grade ink. Six cartridges in all. My actual use of the printer varies wildly from plain b&w copies up to 8 1/2 x 11 color images. Oh so slowly. 🤭 All the best!

Today’s art worried me at first. I feared you had taken Henny to an out-of-town flea market and traded her for magic seeds. Which resulted in psychedelic crops! After calm reading and reflection this all makes sense now. I wonder if Thoreau allowed for re-seeing?

Good luck with the delivery and installation of the new washer today. Here’s hoping for an increase in household harmony. 🎵🎶🎵

Trade Henny? Never!

It’s taken a good long time, but our bond is strong and unshakeable. At least from my perspective! 🤩

We all just kind of got used to the cacophony? Sundays were loud! 😂

How often do we just put up with things and fail to act?

Often. Izzie is not a contributor to the cacophony... A good stopping point for me on that topic. 😔
