Calliope and Urania watched with admiration as Thalia barefooted cartwheels across the grass. Once through the tent flaps, The Muse of Wit plied her latest enthusiasm with a turkey drumstick. “What a relief to be out of that triangle,” she sighed. “Today I shall tame the king of the jungle.”
Cal’s flexible limbs mesmerized the crowd. “Blessed are the flexible…” the Muse of Harmony said, “… for they shall not break when bent out of shape.”
Urania consulted and consorted with the clock, list of acts, and mood of the masses. “As Typist’s father might say… Still sucking air. Oh! What a day to be part of the circus!”
Words from Typist:
It felt great to get out the watercolors… to play in a circus circle this this morning. Today’s 3mm was inspired by questions posed by one of the lovely ladies in my listening circle. Thanks Ilene!
Under the big top, what’s your role(s)?
Are there others you’d like to try?
Urania the clock-watcher offers a friendly reminder, “Muse-wear is still available for 5 days, 13 hours, 5 minutes, and 13, 12, 11, 10, 9… seconds.”
Love how you captured our conversation in water color. Pure JOY!
“Do these smiles seem fake? It doesn’t matter where they come from. The joy is real.” - P.T. Barnum
“Live like this is the first day of the rest of your life!” The core quote is attributed to several sources. My adding “Live like” was my commentary on today’s post. You refuse to be constrained by a given form. The Muses opted to try taming lions, swinging on the flying trapeze, and practicing good time management. Like it all just came naturally?! Because that is today’s river!
Glad I could dip a toe from the bank. Bank of the river, of course.
