“Ooooooooh! Green pumpkins! How many can we take? If we each carry three, we might be able to empty the entirrrrrrrre wheelbarrow!” Thalia scouted the bounty for lightweight squash. “We can tie a couple to Henny’s collar — with the string from Typist’s hoodie!”
Typist looked through her transparent trio. She held Henny’s lead in one hand, and Henny’s digested and bagged dinner in the other.
“Manners!” Nia shot spiders at Tal with her eyeballs.
“Perhaps… we can… swing by later when Typist has free hands… or truck?” Calliope eyed up the front-and-center, round, green beauty. “We’ll select our favorite… while leaving the rest for others to enjoy?”
Thalia picked up their pace… She didn’t want anybody else to beat them to what she was already thinking of as their gourd.
Words from Typist:
First… We’ve yet to revisit the wheelbarrow. 😂
Second… Did I mention that I brought fall stickers as a small token of appreciation for my radiation techs? They liked them… although there was a touch of disappointment when in response to their desire to use them as window clings, I said that would likely be a mistake… frowned upon by whoever was tasked with scraping them off when autumn turned to winter.
I decided it would bring us all a smile (or a cackle) if I could find some window clings to share… and I did, along with eyeball lollipops that I brought to yesterday’s treatment.
I’m telling you this because I see a connection to a quote from Margaret Thatcher:
It pays to know the enemy — not least because at some time you may have the opportunity to turn him into a friend.
Odd as it might sound, c was an enemy who became my friend, and continues to introduce me to more friends.
Wrapping it up with Third… These photos brought me a big smile. You might like them too?
I love the Twister photo! It's nice that the skeletons live in a neighborhood where mischievous kids won't trash them. And for you to say c is a friend--wow. I'm speechless but not surprised. :)
T-shirt: “I’m not sure how many cookies it takes to be happy… But so far, it’s not 27.” 😁
Yesterday we bought pumpkins off a youngster's pumpkin stand in the neighborhood... which reminded Deb about a local roadside farm stand some friends had recommended. We now have orange (smooth skinned), orange (rough skinned), orange & green striped, white, and green-with-orange-dabs pumpkins as garden enhancements. 😁
I guess I could say, "I don't know how many pumpkins it takes to be happy... I'm going to guess eight. So far."
