You'r right! I've got this... only three infusions remaining. Pulling out my shaky fraction play... after tomorrow, I'm 1/2 done with this flavor of chemo.
It will be nice to see my nurse friends! And Dr. S, too.
Try not to dwell on tomorrow. You can't change it so just go to the appointment, the medical staff will do their best for you. You have those little mites and we have carpet beetles and some kind of little moths here in the house. Our house is 40 yrs old and I'm sure the carpet is the original one. I thought maybe the beetles and moths rode home with us from my dad's place last year. We brought a set of books home and some of moms clothes. But a few months ago I found the months were thriving in our birdseed. I got rid of the birdseed and the moths have dwindled down. I haven't put birdseed out since the Wildlife and Fisheries said not to. They say the bird virus is over now and it is ok to feed them again. I don't want to bring those darn moths more food
We once had moths in our pantry... I'm almost certain they came in a bag of whole wheat flour. It took forever for me to diagnose their source and to get rid of them.
Thankfully the mites live outside. We do have ants breaching the inside/outside barriers.
I looked up carpet beetles... They sound like a real nuisance!
Air tight containers, with gasketed screw on lids keep the beasties out. I found a reasonably priced pet food container at PetSmart. Wild Birds Unlimited carries similar ones. Such critters can be an unwelcome discovery in dry goods in one’s cabinets. They do provide protein. 🤔
So that's what they are? Red clover mites? I never knew. Those tiny things can bite, if I'm recalling my insects correctly. As for the world behaving, I suppose it depends on who is making the judgement. As for us behaving joyfully, regardless of the state of the world, I think we have no choice. Like you--finding gifts in the scary and unknown. Good luck tomorrow!
My online search said they do not bite and are not harmful to humans. They can be a pain if they get inside your home because of the stain they leave when smooshed... and they are very easy to smoosh.
Luckily they are not in my house. I was sitting outside at a little table, under the shade of a tree.
Anyone else wondering where the “tiny red clover mites” came from?
Can’t wait to hear what your day reveals and I love seeing the muses continue to evolve.
As it relates to tomorrow… #Cure
BTW, it’s #NaturePhotographyDay so the tiny red clover mites qualify, but I was thinking something more dramatic like an Arizona sunset or the Pacific Coast…
This day mostly lacked special Nature aspects. Yesterday in traffic I saw a solitary Bald Eagle, soaring high as they do. And a Swallowtail Kite, the most graceful and acrobatic bird I’ve ever seen! Summer visitors here. They play. Yes, play. My first sighting was of a pair riding the thermals rising from a gas pipeline right-of-way. They execute perfect loop-de-loops and barrel rolls. That first pair showed up near the bank of a river I was canoeing. Stopping quickly, I sat in awe. Peace.
Every day can be a surprise! Nia emitting anything close to a roar? Writist inviting red clover mites into her study? Seizing the opportunity to check on screen printing? Yowza!
“What will this day be like?
I wonder.
What will my future be?
I wonder.”
Continuing through the lyrics of “I Have Confidence,” from the Sound of Music, suggests that a good portion may have been penned for you! And now, here you are! Confidence and all.
With your day largely planned and those plans being executed, I have confidence in you to perform them. Good luck tomorrow.
Silly me, again! I pictured you and the Muses rolling in a patch of clover in your yard. Were they on plants on your patio?
My curious mind automatically searched “mites” when I read your post. To my shock and awe I read there are two varieties that specialize in human eyelashes!! No known predators either?😱
We don't see the beetles flying but they are in the pantry crawling around the canned goods. I put all flours, sweetners etc in air tight containers before putting on the shelf. But I find those beetles crawling on the pages of our books, in the amongst the pots and pans etc. I read where spreading boric acid on the carpets and floors will kill them. That's fine for the ones on the floor but they are in the cupboards and bookcases too. We have 3 indoor cats and I don't want them to get into the boric acid. I'm sure that would cause major damage to them. We will just live with the beetles and moths. I mush them when I find them. The moths aren't so bad now.
You can do it. You've come this far already. Much love to you Gail.

Every best wish for tomorrow Gail - we’re all here for you, thankful for your daily playfulness no matter what is going on in the world. 💕
Thank you Margaret! It is such a blessing to feel all of you supporting me! 💜

Good to know- thank you. Must some other little critter that got me. Speaking of pain- I hope today is a breeze.
Mixing it up sounds a lot different. "I gotta go" and "I don't want this". I think this is what I'd probably say to myself.
Amazing how the placement of words makes a difference!
I will go! And I will be glad to see my care team! And I will draw pictures for them!
MUG: “This must be the Mondayest Wednesday ever.” 😁
[yes, I have a whole week of these – stand by]
You got this! 💚💚💚 & {*{*{*hugs*}*}*}
What's a little poison between friends?
I'll be glad to catch up with my nurses. One's baby is due in less than a month. 😊

I can’t post here so will share via text… 😊
Great photos! Thank you for sharing them with me. One day Substack will allow for photos in comments, I hope.
The movie was fascinating because most of it was filmed within 25 miles of my house. I had no idea!
And full speed ahead with muse attire! I've a new friend named Val who is going to help!
>>"Anyone else wondering where the “tiny red clover mites” came from?"
Well Bobby, once upon a time, there were a mommy red clover mite and a daddy red clover mite who loved each other veeeeery much... 😉
Too much?
Huge smile here! 😂🤣😂

Thank goodness the mites are outside.
I wanted to sit on the shaded patio, but the mites were too much of a distraction for me and I moved back into the house.
Thanks for tomorrow's good wishes. All shall be well! CURE!

I can’t imagine I’m a desired host for the eyelash varieties at the moment. 😂
The little scurriers (seems I just made up another word!) are all over the flagstones, chairs, and table.
